About the Sewing Maker Space

Welcome to Paula’s Sewing Corner! This is my little happy place that I have opened up to share with others. I believe in the power of sewing and I want to invite anyone interested to come to the shop to learn and do more!

Sewing is a skill that can be learned. Some people take to it more readily than others; some people become artists and some only have enough interest to do the necessary chores and no more. I welcome everyone no matter what your level of expertise or interest!

Inside the shop, you will find a sewing maker space that is completely outfitted for anyone to come to sew. There are usually two sewing machines available. Currently, I have a modern Pfaff Passport 3.0 and a vintage Singer 401G set up and ready for sewing. In addition, I have large cutting board, pressing station with an industrial gravity feed iron and a regular household iron, Cricut, projector, embroidery machine and (coming soon) a serger.

Would you like to try sewing, but not sure if you want to invest in a machine, notions and fabric? Check out my Free Fabric and Notions Wall! The fabric on these shelves has been donated by myself and others and is available for anyone to use for free. The fabric is mostly quilting cottons and is of various sizes but if you need just a little fabric to finish a project or if you want to test a technique or new pattern but don’t want to use your good fabric, stop by the shop to see what I have! I also have many notions on hand, both for sale and free!
